A newly built hideaway with the most breathtaking view. Designed with a colonial yet contemporary feel, this two-bedroom house (with Queen beds) comes complete with a kitchen, dining room, and a large sitting room with a wood-burning stove. The Retreat can be booked with or without household staff as part of your package — but here, it’s really all about the view.
GOOD Based on 39 reviews Posted on Karen Bassett17/04/2024 We stayed over for a night at Buckswood Hilltops. We were welcomed with complimentary coffee and muffins after we were shown our room. The staff were all so friendly and willing to assist in any way. It was a cool evening, so they made sure there was a fire lit in the lounge, for us to enjoy. Their menu is reasonable and food was great. The view was beautiful. The front office manager took time to tell us about the Lebombo mountain range and the landscape we were looking onto. I will definitely recommend Buckswood Hilltops to travelers.Posted on Riaan Fourie06/04/2024 Great place to stay! Beautiful views! All the low reviews are from many years ago, go and check for yourself! It should have a much higher rating. We have an amazing stay and it was large because of the staff member Smalls - he made our experience a very positive one! The SHORT gravel road leading to Buckswood is narrow with a lot of jagged rocks but it is drivablePosted on Keta Vasadze10/08/2023 An amazing place with the best views, staff and food. The best place to experience real Swazi culture.
